From the very first time I met Nina and Ben, I knew their special day was going to be a good one, and their Heritage Square wedding in Downtown Phoenix did not disappoint!
It was sunny and 75. Mimosas were being sipped, 90’s pop was playing in the background, and the floor to ceiling windows were showing off downtown Phoenix’s cityscape. Nina was stunning in her lace gown and her bridesmaids looked so good in their dresses. Meanwhile on the other side of the hotel, Ben and his groomsmen were having just as much fun drinking Johnny Walker Blue Label and watching March Madness basketball on TV. Their black suits and sage accents were perfect for a St. Patty’s Day weekend wedding, and Ben even wore socks with Nina’s face printed on them (a silly gift from one of their best friends).
After getting ready, it was time for Nina and Ben to see each other! Heritage Square is such an elegant setting in the midst of busy downtown Phoenix streets. The brick house with a wrap around front porch made for the perfect backdrop for their first look. Instead of feeling like you were in the city, it felt like you were in a scene from the notebook!
Then, it was time to make things official and celebrate! At one end of the pavilion lush greenery against a brick arch served as a beautiful ceremony space, and at the other end white linens, springtime florals and colorful up-lighting decorated the pavilion for the party! I think one of my favorite parts about the reception was dinner. Nina and Ben brought in food truck (yes, you heard me right…food trucks!!) for their guests to enjoy.
After dinner, everyone one enjoyed an evening of cigars, drinks, dancing, and cake! And for the perfect ending to this amazing day, Nina and Ben went with a bubble exit send off! Which is now my new favorite kind of send off! They say time flies when you’re having fun, and I couldn’t agree more. This day went by so quickly and it’s because Nina and Ben planned such a fun day from start to finish!
Nina and Ben – You are one of the most joyful and genuine couples I’ve had the opportunity to photograph, and I wish you many years of love, laughter and happiness together. Thanks for letting me be party of your special day!
