I used to think meeting people online was such an odd concept. Nothing against those who online date or use networking apps, because let’s be honest, there are a ton of great people out there online! Actually, one of my favorite uncles met my aunt on match.com and they’ve been married 15+ years! I know it works, but it’s just never been for me. For me, the real human element of meeting people in person always seemed more intriguing that meeting someone through a screen or app. That was…until I started building my photography business.
You see, last year I joined an online educational course that had it’s own Facebook group. One thing led to another and I quickly made friends with a few of the other students. (Turns out, making friends online was not as weird as I thought it would be!) One of those friends was Demi… who ended up being less of an online acquaintance and more of a long lost bestie! We share a love for our pups, coffee, Friends quotes, Harry Potter, cocktails, the beach, and of course – photography… just to name a few!
After months of being online friends, Demi came to visit me all the way from South Carolina! Between the Mexican food, wedding day shenanigans, In and Out pit stops, and desert photo shoots, her trip to Arizona was one for the books! What’s even more exciting is that next year we are meeting up again, but this time I’ll be in her neck of the woods! East coast here I come – woohoo!
Until next her next Arizona vacation, here’s a few adorable images of Demi from her first trip to the desert!
